The Governing Body of Fir Ends School has the responsibility for raising school standards through three core strategic functions:
a. Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction of the school;
b. Holding the Head Teacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils; and
c. Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.
This page contains a direct link to a live document which contains the relevant details that the school is required to report on its Governing Body and their interests. In addition, attendance at meetings and business interests of governors is recorded HERE.
There is also a link to a file containing minutes from GB meetings. Minutes are only published on the website after they have been ratified at the next full GB meeting: this means that they will typically be at least three months behind. This online folder was implemented in January 2017, at which point the ratified minutes related to the September 2016 meetings.
If you wish to contact the governing body directly please use the form at the bottom of this page.
Note: please disregard the 'last updated' timestamps above ( they don't update for some reason!) and click through to the folders to find the latest ratified minutes.
