Recognition for charity support
Back in June 2018, our Rotakids held a sponsored run in aid of the North East Children's Cancer Charity on our school field. Children ran in circles to raise money.
Just over a year later, in September 2019, the charity held its first Carlisle run in Bitts Park. The weather was appalling, and the park was muddy, but there was a great turnout for the inaugural run.
This week they held an awards ceremony and Fir Ends was recognised for our contribution to the charity's work and getting that big run off the ground locally.
We're very proud and hope to be able to support the charity again next year.
