LEARNING OUTCOMES

Fir Ends School aims to achieve the best outcomes for all pupils in line with our ethos and vision statement.

Assessment throughout the school is used to identify pupils who require further support or challenge, which enables staff to plan effectively for their continued progress.

Small cohorts, usually between ten and fifteen pupils, are a benefit when working with pupils as individuals, but do mean that an individual may have a significantly distorting effect on whole school results data; in a cohort of 11, for example, one child's results represent 9.1% of the total.
