P.E. and Sports Premium grant funding
The P.E. and Sports Grant funding is additional funding provided on a per-pupil and lump sum basis. It is intended to support schools in expanding the provision they have both for sports and general health and wellbeing for pupils in years 1-6.
Fir Ends school, as a result of its rural location, benefits from good on-site resources, but can find it difficult to attend events due to the distances involved. In light of this, funding is used to both develop on-site provision and to enable pupils to access opportunities beyond our own school gates.
On average, Fir Ends receives around £16800 through this grant annually, with minor fluctuations in line with pupil numbers. In the documents below you can find out how Sports Funding was spent in 2022-23 and will be allocated in 2024-25.
