Gymnastics restarting

6 January 2021 (by Daryl Spencer (darylspencer))

We have a coach!

After two long years of searching (and a pandemic getting in the way) we'll be restarting after-school gymnastics in the Spring term!

Sessions are intended to be for 'beginners', in line with the entry requirements for competitions that are available to schools, although they are useful practice for our resident experts too - and the aim this year will be to set the groundwork for entering an amateur team for the grassroots Cumbria Key Steps competition in 2023!

Sessions will run on MONDAY evenings from January 10th, as follows:

15:15-15:45 - KS1 pupils

15:45- 16:30 - KS2 pupils

Basic skills such as tumbles and turns alongside simple vaults will be covered each week.

Normal AFS costs will apply - so if KS1 pupils are collected by 16:00 the cost will be £1.50 whilst KS2 pupils collected at 16:30 will pay £3.00.

Naturally, children can stay beyond the end of each session at the usual rates too.
